E.S Wigg & Son was a success born in Australia in 1849 and has been operated by generations and descendants of Edgar Smith for over 160 years.

Expanding from its original manufacturing base in Adelaide, E.S Wigg & Son has grown over time and has established sales offices in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.

E.S Wigg & Son has led the Australian envelope market with new and innovative products to suit an array of industries. Ranging from direct mail, fundraising, financial and insurance, photographic packaging to general office requirements, Wigg & Son has developed solutions for an array of customers’ needs.

Now known as Wigg, they continue to evolve with unique and customisable envelope solutions with particular involvement in the direct mail industry.

Edgar Smith Wigg started selling books and homeopathic medicines in Adelaide. 
The 1850's saw expansion into account books, educational supplies and sportsware.

Edward Neale Wigg joined his father in the business, now titled E.S. Wigg & Son.

Edward Neale Wigg married Janet Davidson

William Laidlaw Davidson joined the company from England and branches had been opened in Broken Hill, Perth, Fremantle and Kalgoorlie.

William Davidson married Mary Wigg, 3rd child of E.S. Wigg.

William Davidson opened a printing section and the first envelope machine in
South Australia was installed.

Land was purchased in Thebarton and by 1904 all manufacturing was located in the new factory, which boasted the state's first saw tooth roof.

The partnership between Edward Neale Wigg and William Davidson dissolved,
with the Wigg interest being sold to the Davidson family.

Hugh Davidson became Managing Director.

David Davidson became Managing Director.

Melbourne sales office opened to service major customers including Kodak Australia.

Sydney sales office opened to service major customers including Reader's Digest.

Brisbane sales office opened.

David Davidson retires to become Chairman of the Board.
Tom Davidson appointed as new Managing Director.

E.S. Wigg & Son celebrates 160 years as a family owned Australian Company.

Candida acquires the envelope division of E.S. Wigg & Son and relaunches the
business as Wigg.
